As I was painting the mice for Illustration Friday I remembered that years ago, when I was living in Holland, I had painted these little Dutch characters in traditional costume on wooden eggs!
such cute, happy mice!
ReplyDeleteBut of course! Oh, how wonderful. What an adorable mouse family. I think they deserve their own storybook.
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOVE your eggs! I have a small collection of decorated eggs. Yours are just lovely.
Ah so cute..I love the dancing mice and their clogs...adnd the eggs are just goregous Caroline.
ReplyDeleteVery fun. And I love your Dutch couple too.
ReplyDeleteGreat humanization of the mice...really like the faces on these in both keeping them naturalistic but still showing expression without getting all Disney...
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute illustration (I guess the cat is most definitely away for these cuties!). And the eggs are so nice too, very, very well done, bravo!
ReplyDeleteCute...You are so talented!
ReplyDeleteI'll send my celebration mice with their cheese over... and they can P-A-R-T-Y!!
