'Man in the Moon' - pearlescent acrylic ink- ©Caroline Soer
Satellite is the word this week at Illustration Friday. The Moon is a natural satellite - here's my 'Man in the Moon' - a design I made back in 1995 for a child's bedroom mural. It's too big for my scanner, so this is a photo - the quality isn't great, and unfortuntely you can't see the iridesence of the ink either, but you get the idea, I hope! This is the design for the sun.

ReplyDeleteHey Caroline! These illustrations are beautiful!! Great concept and wonderfully done!
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline. Love the moon and the sun and stars - particularly the sun. I sometimes find work I have done years ago and thought...hmmm that is quite good. I enjoyed the paisley artwork too. I used to wear a lot of paisley when I was younger. It comes and goes in fashion. Hope you are having a good weekend. We are frying (literally) over here..lol.
ReplyDeleteOh such lovely designs and pieces of a mural!
ReplyDeleteCan't you show the completed one?
I still have to comment on your other beautiful work. I saw it before but I still have to read the post.....
Now I will go to bed.

ReplyDeleteLovely warm expressions on all the faces! I would have loved to go to sleep at night with this mural beaming down at me. Lucky little person to have this on the bedroom wall.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, these are enchanting! Hey, I'm a grown up, but I'd still love to have these on my wall. Absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteOH, Caroline! The man in the moon is SO charming! I love his face, and the stars and sun are so sweet too - I'm sure they turned out beautifully in the child's room. I wish I could see how the pearlescent ink turned out...I just bought some Senellier inks and have yet to try them. I'm so excited! Always great to visit you!!
