Fun illustration! And what a good name for him.
He'll probably leave them for you on your pillow as a 'gift' :-)Great illustration and wonderful colors.
I've known a few hunters extraordinaire just like Marlon--they turn into jungle beasts at the drop of a feather or twitch of a tail...You've captured his fierce intensity with great humor!
That cat is amazing! Poor little bird and mices! Love his expression!
What fun ... my computer mouse is getting nervous ...
ahhaha!! poor little "people" around this hunter Cat! hahaha Love it!
This watercolor is fantastic!Congratulations!Greetings
Funny and beautifully done. I guess there are a lot of "Marlon's" my daughter has a white fluffy hunter.
What a great idea and fantastic illustration to go along with it! Kinda reminds me of the fable about killing two flies with one swat...or something like that...anyway Great work Caroline!
Marlon needs to wear a collar with a little bell, to warn off birds and mice! :-) My aunt had a mighty hunter cat like Marlon, and that was the only way to keep the birds safe! :-)
Oh, look, two mice with one swipe! He IS good! Except for the poor birdy. Birdy's just pretending, right? Right?? Fantastic piece!
You are making fantastic interpretation of the theme. And the technique is awesome!!
I love it! That's my kind of cat, the one that gets the mice! Great narrative piece.
Thanks to everyone for you comments - love to hear from you! Just in case anyone is worried about the murder scene - I've declared that the little canary is, as Bella, suggested, just playing possum!
oh no! death by kitty cat... I love everything about this, your colours are great the stiffness of the bird feet, the birdcage and all of it's details, the cat's eyes and well, everything! :)
Caroline I love this picture it is so great. It is cathartic to write these things for sure. How are you though Caroline? Are you alright now. I know it is never over, but I hope you are well.xoxoLove Renee
Pardon my ignorance but I did a search on Marlon the claw!hahaha I just wonder how he would fare against tweety bird.:P And I like how you painted this, the colors add to the action!
Wonderful image Caroline. It is so perfect for the IF theme. He has an equal with one of our cats too.Enjoyed the batik and ceramics pictures. I can well believe it is amazingly difficult to throw pots. The experienced makers make it look so effortless. Keep up the good work.
Nice illustration :) Feel sorry for the Canary though :(
Naughty kitty...naughty, naughty kitty!Great one Caroline!
What great hunting skills this kitty has! Really great composition and colors. :)
Hi Caroline, Wow..what a fabulous illustration. I love the expression of the kitty
Oh bravo!!! Very well done!
Thisis just fabulous!!! Love the expression! :)
Caroline I didn't know that about the p and q but I am really interested to learn that. My father was a printer at one time and three of my brothers are printers. I will now show off my new knowledge to them.Have a good weekend.Love Renee xoxoxo
Horribly wonderful image, reminds me of our neighbors cat who I jokingly call Hannibal... just a tortuous beast who kills innocent critters at random.
How are you doing Caroline?I want to thank you for your lovely comment. So, thank you.Love Renee xoxo
I did not see this illustration before...what an amzing work! It tells a nice story...
Thank you for passing by. I love to read your comments!
