CAUTION - CHOOSE YOUR PEPPERS CAREFULLY!
keep scrolling down!
can be MIND BLOWINGLY HOT!
I couldn't decide which of these images to choose for the theme this week - so I've used them all! One large and loose watercolour from a couple of years ago, one tiny ATC- sized chili portrait from yesterday and the last is another plastic wrap/ink print (see last week's IF for description of the process) with added coloured pencil - wierd, I know! Make of it what you will...

i know this pain well - i've encountered more than a few habanero peppers that i thought were going to shoot me into the sky!
ReplyDeleteoh wow Caroline!!! these are amazing!!! and my brother just had a run in with some hot peppers...and he never washed his hands and decided to touch his whole face....burn!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove all the posts recently Caroline. That Omani silver is gorgeous, especially the jewellery. Very ornate and decorative. You have a very nice collection.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the camping shots too. I have never camped in my life except in the backgarden as kids and I don't really think that counts. We went indoors around 1am because it was too cold outside in the tent.
The peppers are a no no for me. I don't even like the ordinary, eaten by everyone, peppers. I think they all look gorgeous in your paintings though. I will look but not touch...haha. I see Tesco are selling Scotch Bonnet in the UK now.
Wow Caroline, I could just reach into that first painting and grab one of those peppers - beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteExquisite handling of the watercolor! Your work is so much fun to look at. Also I love the thinking behind this solution to the topic. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post Caroline! Your talent knows no limits ;)
ReplyDeleteYour paintings are fantastic! Diana's comment reminded me of when I rubbed my eyes after touching a bottle of chilli in a restaurant and I had to be lead from the room and around several blocks before I could hide (and howl) in the car.
ReplyDeleteMmm, these peppers look too delicious to heed the warning! I must admit, I'll steer clear of the tiny red ones, though!
ReplyDeleteChiles rellenos, anyone?
While I always keep my distance from peppers, yours are so beautiful it makes one want to reach for them. Gorgeous colors!
ReplyDeletesweet peppers! love all of these!
ReplyDeleteI love the bottom illustration best, but thy are all so beautiful. I am addicted to chillis & I like very hot ones. They do tend to kill my tastebuds though and I think they can make you hallucinate!
ReplyDeleteI love spicy. Spicy food + lime juice, perfect! I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteIf your food doesn't make you cry it’s just not strong enough! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully portrayed chillies! Delish!
These are gorgeous!!! I love all peppers... the hotter...the better!
ReplyDeleteexcellent choice for this week's theme!...these are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI like the second image with those spicy red patches.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful peppers! Loving the colours:)
ReplyDeleteWow, fantastic effect! And brilliant works, so beautifully rendered!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting! Could I grab all the peppers please? Can not resist the beauty.
