Illustration Friday - Wilderness

Wilderness - mixed water media

This week for IF I've painted a landscape - something I rarely do!! My version of this week's theme of Wildnerness is painted mostly with watercolour and ink, with some coloured pencil and a touch of gouache detail . See more wildnernesses here !

  1. I think you should do many more of this type. It's absolutely gorgeous! I enlarged it and got lost in the scrub trees for a nice long while. I just love this Caroline!

  28. oh caroline! i have been here several times looking at this water color. i must have become so enthralled i forgot to leave a comment.

your muted earth colors. OMG! i love watercolors:it is the only medium i've used consistently in my life and i only do so, maybe once a year. but i know how tricky it can be. i blew this up and i can see your strokes.

you are so talented i don't know what to say anymore. do you show your work, are you linked with a gallery? because you should be.

now: to other matters. what's this i hear about clogged toilets and plumbers? heart sister, i feel for you. by the time you read this i hope your problem has been flushed away.

gurgle gurgle. love you, caroline. when are you coming stateside?

  29. Caroline, I thought I had your email but I can't locate it. I just had a thought because you mentioned missing our project that has come to an end.
What if we start a mail art group? The envelopes will be the art? I know others do this...and you already have one of mine! Although I believe the envelopes are actually mailed and stamped, etc.
Shall we ask some folks? It's much more affordable than bulky journals.
