I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts!












Had a weekend of hassle with overflowing water tanks, but every cloud has a silver lining.. our plumbers harvested the coconuts from the palm tree! Now just gotta put de lime in de coconut!

    Hey! I know how to climb a coconut tree like that man! Honest! I climbed ours when I was a kid. I don't think I can even go up three feet if I do that now!

  5. only once i've had a raw coconut and never with lime. now i want to eat one, accompanied by this song.

    and i also want to play the guitar like that.

    i am thinking of you this weekend, caroline, because of wonderful paintings may settle into their permanent spaces.

  6. In many parts of India the coconut tree is considered as wish-fulfilling divine tree - Kalpavriksha...because everything it produces from fruit, oil, coir, dried thatch... serves human needs. The specimens in your photos look quite delicious!

  10. The first photo looks like a sculpture. I love the colors and forms. I am always amazed that people can climb trees like that. How can you tell if they are ripe?? I guess you have to live there to learn this. Don't forget the rum when you put the lime in the coconut. ;)

    My coconut tree also have a lot of fruits but I have plucked all them down!
