  1. The contrast between the darkness of your fox drawing and the colourfulness of your chicken really makes the point here Caroline. Poor chickens - my sister lost all her's to the fox - she was very upset!

  2. THe fox looks so sinister peeking through the hole. The rooster looks brave standing where feathers are flying. Great sketches.

  11. Caroline, I thought for a while you were posting photographs based on your thumbnail. You are a secret that needs to be revealed. You are truly terrific. If I were to limit my choice to five illustrators you will be among them, okay, three even.

  16. I really really like both of these--the fox one for the great muted medium, the simplicity of the white on black--perfect for the topic, and the chicken for those absolutely brilliant color. Sigh. (That's a happy sigh....)

  20. That cockerel is brilliant Caroline. I just love the colours and the feathers. The fox is a great response to the theme. You can turn your artistic hand to anything.

I loved browsing the Hong Kong photos and especially love the first building with those complicated and deliciously coloured reflections. My other favourites were the Hong Kong harbour vista..amazing, and those intriuging pharmacy concoctions. I would love to know what they were all for...or perhaps not...haha.

  22. Oh, Caroline, these are incredible as always. Black and white or color, it's always striking and beautiful.

By the way, I recently read a story about a fox that kept stealing into a henhouse and picking off the chickens one by one. But after getting fed up, a rooster and just the few remaining chickens clobbered their intruder one night and pecked him to death! Yes, true!
