Having procrastinated a bit this week (and last) I've not got a finished illustration to show you. However, rather than not post at all here are some sketches for this weeks word 'Surrender' and last week's 'Dusty'.

Do you remember playing this game when you were small? I'd forgotten about it, but when I was thinking about the word 'dusty' I suddenly thought of the playground game !

You should draw figures more often. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of that playground game. You've depicted it sweetly!

I agree... They are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully drawn Caroline. Yes I remember the game!
ReplyDeleteLovely drawings. I did not know a game by that name. Do they capture the girl in the middle? Or does she go in and out?
ReplyDelete...you are so creative. I just love these... (I wish I had your kind of creativity...)
ReplyDeleteThese sketches are wonderful! I love the playground one so much. I do remember playing this game, but I sure didn't remember the name of it. Thanks for the memories.
ReplyDeleteApplause! These are beautiful and elegantly drawn. I'm not sure I know that game, but it sounds enchanting!

ReplyDeleteYour work is so lovely Caroline. What a pleasure it is to visit your blog!
ReplyDeleteyour sketches are beautiful and I know they aren't even complete. Do you illustrate professionally for children's books? You could if you don't already!
ReplyDeleteWow what beautiful sketches wish I could draw people like that!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know this game but we have some Dutch ones here a little similar.
Once again lovely sketches!
How lovely. I remember playing in and out of the dusty bluebells too. Another game we used to play as children was cat's cradle with elastic. Do you remember that one? I love the photos of your studio too. I cannot get over how tidy it is. You are obviously a neat worker.
