Observed

Earth Hour observed tonight in the garden by candlelight! Drank wine, saw fireflies and saved a Cicada from a watery end in the pool! What did you do?

  1. I am not familiar with Earth Hour. Since it is March 26th here today, I will have to think of something. Send prayers to Japan, maybe. Beautiful candles.

  2. What a lovely way to spend the hour Caroline. I sat in my room in candle light and just let my thoughts drift to all the things we could put right if we tried hard enough. My thoughts and prayers went out to all the countries and peoples who have suffered disasters on huge scales recently like Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil and India to mention just a few. We are very lucky in the UK that such things rarely come our way.

We are putting the clocks forward one hour in the UK tonight to bring in British Summer Time so its off to bed early.

  3. before I scrolled down I was trying to figure out what I was looking at. I thought you had cut a piece of paper into a pattern and held it against soft light. Close!! Very pretty.

I'm not familiar with Earth Hour either. But I love how you spent your time ;)

    Lucky little cicada!

  4. Sounds like a very romantic evening. I hope it lasted more than just an hour. I missed Earth Hour here, but I'm hoping the two-day blackout we had a couple of months ago makes up for it.

  5. What a beautiful image Caroline, I too thought it was a collage. I'm ashamed to say I missed Earth Hour.
